The Innovation and Technological Transfer Office represents the interface between the research-development-innovation activity carried out in the State University of Moldova and the economic-social, non-academic environment, with the aim of streamlining the process of transforming scientific progress into tangible products and services that bring a considerable benefit to society. The Innovation and Technological Transfer Office is a multi- and interdisciplinary department, with the role of supporting academic departments, scientific research laboratories and the university, in general, in all issues involving intellectual property, contributing to the valorization of university research results, economic development in general and in obtaining financial resources for the university. The activity of the Innovation and Technological Transfer Office is coordinated by the Vice-Rector for Scientific Activity of the USM.
The general objectives of the Innovation and Technology Transfer Office:
- Identification of the internal offer of the State University of Moldova of competences, technical solutions, products and services that can be offered for technological transfer
- Ensuring the organizational, procedural and informational framework necessary for the development of technological transfer activities of the results of the research-development-innovation activity from the university to the economic-social, non-academic environment
- Ensuring the organizational, procedural and informational framework necessary for the establishment of start-up and spin-off companies by employees and students of the State University of Moldova
- Ensuring the connection between the State University of Moldova and the business environment or other institutions, bodies and organizations interested in the technology transfer activity (of university research results and the possibility of technological transfer of these results)
- Increasing the visibility of the State University of Moldova in the framework of scientific research in the Republic of Moldova and in the European Research Area by promoting new products and technologies, patented and unpatented, designed by members of the academic community
